Crocheting For Hope
Tuesday and Wednesday after school meetings. We have all of the yarn and hooks. Bring a friend and learn how to crochet.
Car Wash

Bring yourself, buckets, towels, and soap! Social Awareness and the Astro team are having a car wash here at Borman. The proceeds will go to a Borman student that recently had a death of a family member and Social Awareness Club. We need as many people that can make it along with supplies. Start spreading the word!

Andre House
Saturday February 2, 2008 and Saturday February 9, 2008
1:00 pm until 4:00 pm
We will be volunteering at their donation center. You will need to get a ride to and from Andre House. We will be taking 8 students each trip. Andre House is located on 11th Ave. near the I-17. For more information please see Ms. Lamont or Mr. Lucero. Permission slips are due by Friday before each trip.

Borman Mural
IMPACT and Social Awareness Club are working on a mural to go on the wall across from the office. We will be working on it most Saturdays. We will begin on December 15 and continue until the mural is finished. Typically the time frame is 9 am until 12 pm. Stop in Mr. Spencer's, Mr. Lucero's, or Ms. Lamont's rooms for more information.

Social Awarness Quilt
Social Awareness Club is working on making a quilt of positive messages. All you need to do is get a piece of fabric that is 13''x 13''. It can be from an old shirt, dress, pair of pants, blanket.... anything that you can get your hands on. Leave a one inch margin the entire way around the square. Next come up with a story, poem, song, picture, or anything else you can think of that represents a positive message you feel about the club, Borman, or our community. Mr. Lucero and Ms. Lamont are collecting the squares.

The Social Awareness Club Happenings
Saturday November 10 Food Bank Trip 7:45 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

~Thanks to all of the students that brought in food for the food drive over the past two weeks. I talked to the coordinator at St. Mary's and they are suffering from a major shortage of food due to the up coming holidays. They are thankful not only that we are going to help out but that we are bringing food with us.
